State-of-the-art Innovations

At Clarin Eye Care, we believe in using the latest technology to provide our patients with the most thorough and complete eye exam experience. Starting during pre-exam testing, through to your eye exam and in the optical, technology is a theme in our office that is consistently presented to patients.

Optomap

Getting an optomap image is fast, painless, and comfortable. Nothing touches your eye at any time. It is suitable for the whole family. To have the exam, you simply look into the device one eye at a time (like looking through a keyhole) and you will see a flash of light to let you know the image of your retina has been taken.

Corneal Mapping

A corneal topography test is quick and painless. During the test, you will sit in front of a lighted bowl that contains a pattern of rings, and rest your head against a bar.  A series of data points will be collected, and a color coded image of your corneal shape will be generated on a computer screen.

Visual Field Testing

You may need a visual field test to help your doctor monitor or see signs of certain diseases like glaucoma. In the earlier stages of glaucoma, you may lose peripheral vision without realizing it, and a visual field test can help you manage your condition or start treating it.
